Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together corn syrup, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans.
- Pour the pecan mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top of the filling mixture.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix layer, making sure to cover as much as possible.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- Let cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra richness, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Toasting the pecans before baking can also enhance their flavor.
