- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Find a baking dish that’s large enough to hold the chicken breasts in a single layer without too much crowding. A light coating of cooking spray or a little butter will keep anything from sticking.
- In a medium-sized bowl, it’s time to mix up that incredible sauce. Combine the Caesar dressing, the optional sour cream, about three-quarters of your grated Parmesan cheese, the garlic powder, and the black pepper. Give it a good stir until everything is well combined and creamy. Saving a little Parmesan for the top is our secret to a beautiful golden crust.
- Now, place the chicken breasts into your prepared baking dish. Spoon the Caesar sauce mixture evenly over each piece of chicken, making sure each one is generously coated. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Bake the chicken, uncovered, for about 25 to 30 minutes. The exact time will depend on the thickness of your chicken. The best way to check for doneness is with a meat thermometer; you're looking for an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). If you want a more golden, bubbly top, you can switch the oven to broil for the last 2 to 3 minutes, but keep a very close eye on it to prevent burning.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after taking it out of the oven. This helps the juices redistribute, ensuring a tender bite. Garnish with some freshly chopped parsley for a bit of color and freshness. This dish is wonderful served with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or even over a bed of pasta to soak up that delicious sauce.
Notes
For best results, season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper before adding the sauce. Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for a smoother melt and better flavor. Let the chicken rest for at least 5 minutes after baking to ensure it stays tender and juicy. You can substitute full-fat Greek yogurt for sour cream, and add red pepper flakes for a bit of spice.
