Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 1 cup cottage cheese full-fat or low-fat
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour can substitute with whole wheat flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Toppings
  • 1 tbsp everything bagel seasoning or sesame seeds
  • 1 egg wash 1 egg whisked with 1 tbsp water

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough gently for 2–3 minutes until smooth. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions. Roll each piece into a log and form into a bagel shape.
  5. Place bagels on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These bagels are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
