Ingredients
  

  • 2 large apples Honeycrisp or Granny Smith
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • 3 shallow bowls
  • Knife and cutting board

Method
 

  1. Prep the apples: Peel optional, core and cut into 1/2-inch fry sticks. Pat dry.
  2. Set up stations: Bowl 1 flour, Bowl 2 beaten egg and milk, Bowl 3 panko, sugar, cinnamon.
  3. Coat: Dredge apples in flour, dip in egg, press into crumbs. Rest 2 min.
  4. Air fry: Spray basket, single layer at 380F 7-9 min, flip halfway.
  5. Serve warm with dips.

Notes

  • Work in batches to avoid crowding.
  • Flip for even crisp.
  • Best fresh; reheat in air fryer.
